  • Built predictive CI test selection for BootyBayBroker: a dependency graph plus an AI model’s judgment. Replaying 110 failed runs, it caught 94 of 110 failing test files while running a median 13.7% of the suite’s test files. It has chosen the tests in CI since September 21, 2026.
  • Built 20 Claude Code plugins and MCP servers, 11 in my current catalog and 11 ported to Codex CLI, including the open-source anti-slop scanner (85 rules, MIT).
  • Run retrieval memory for coding agents across 21 projects: a self-hosted vector search service with embeddings and reranking, and an AI-judged job that flags stale memories.
  • Built and operate BootyBayBroker: 184 World of Warcraft realms in four regions, 14,000+ active users in 30 days (Aug 17–Sep 15, 2026), and 2.69 billion retail price rows compressed 16.5×. Cut cold item-page loads from 9.8 s to 0.64 s.
  • Launched Limerino, a native Twitch chat app for iPhone, in June 2026: 2,700 active users (September 2026) and a 4.7-star App Store rating.
  • Building SteadySignal, a privacy-first iPhone app that shows continuous glucose monitor readings on the device only. It is in external TestFlight beta, and ten CI policy gates enforce its no-network and display-only rules.
  • Run CI/CD on 63 self-hosted GitHub Actions runners across Linux, Windows, and macOS for 17 repositories.

Real-time C++ on embedded Linux and VxWorks, from intern to Senior Test Engineer: latency work through code and network-protocol changes, test-coverage gains on a large C++ codebase, and performance validation under high-traffic network simulation. I also built backend services and full-stack tools, and containerized AWS deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.

Background

I’m Benjamin Meisl, a software engineer based in Massachusetts. Through Meipath, I build AI developer tools and the web and iOS products I ship with them.

My foundation is real-time C++, where performance, debugging, and verification are part of the job from the start. Running my own products has made me responsible for everything around the code: the interface, the release, the servers, and the next fix.

I’m most interested in AI developer tools, research tools, and developer platforms: work that helps other engineers and researchers do more.

TypeScript
Web, APIs & data
Python

How I work

Start with the failure modes.

What happens when the upstream shape changes, the network drops, or a value stops updating? The answer shapes the design, the tests, and what the interface tells its user.

Make important claims checkable.

Whether it comes from a model, a monitor, or a design document, a claim needs evidence. I prefer small reproducible cases, explicit contracts, and tests at the boundaries where systems meet.

Stay close to the product.

I care about the screen someone uses as much as the service behind it. Owning both is how I catch the gap between software that works and software that is useful.
